How it works
At the global launch, the leading universities in each subject are shortlisted automatically, on the data. The shortlist is earned, not entered.
Shortlisted partner universities submit the story behind their standing, the flagship consortia and projects their collaboration made possible.
The GRP team reviews every submission, so the winner is the university whose collaboration has genuinely shaped its field. Winners announced from 1 October 2026.
Granular subject categories follow in future editions.
The award recognises leadership and asks for detail only an engaged institution can provide. If you lead your subject and want to compete, partnership is the door.
