How it works
At the global launch, the leading universities in each of the 26 subject indices are shortlisted automatically, on the data. The shortlist is earned, not entered.
Shortlisted partner universities submit the story behind their standing, the flagship consortia and projects their collaboration made possible.
The GRP team reviews every submission, so the winner is the university whose collaboration has genuinely shaped its field. Winners announced from 1 October 2026.
The categories
One award per subject index, plus four domain awards and an overall Global Collaboration Award. Every category is drawn directly from the published index.
The award recognises leadership and asks for detail only an engaged institution can provide. If you lead your subject and want to compete, partnership is the door.
