The 2027 edition: the data window is open

Edition 1 (2026) is built entirely from the open scholarly record: research co-authored with companies, with every company link checked against the affiliation its authors wrote. The 2027 edition will be calculated with the same published methodology. The window for universities to submit data for it is open now.

What this is

The 2027 edition will be calculated with the same published methodology, applied in the same way to every university.
Universities can tell us now which data they hold on their industry partnerships, and who we should talk to. We will contact you about the 2027 edition.
Submitting is free and optional. Submissions do not change Edition 1: its figures come from the open scholarly record, the same way for every university, and are frozen at launch.
Factual corrections and researcher opt-outs for Edition 1 are accepted until 17:00 BST on Tuesday 13 October (16:00 UTC) through the correction route.

Independence. The index is free, public and independent. No commercial relationship with any university or company changes any position, and no one can pay to be included, excluded or moved.
