Evidence

What we claim, and what stands behind it

We would rather show you three verifiable things than fifty adjectives. Every figure below is either platform-recorded, drawn from the public research record, or attributable to a named institution.

Case one · verified media outcome

When Glasgow featured, 147,650 academics saw it

In June 2026 the University of Glasgow featured to our full newsletter list. That single send reached 147,650 academics, opened at 63.8% (roughly 2.5x the academic-sector benchmark), across 138 countries, and drove 15,000+ research clicks. Platform-recorded, from our email system’s send report.

What this evidences: the audience is real, engaged and global. It does not evidence ranking movement, and we will never claim that.

Case two · the index itself

A ranking you can audit

The Research Collaboration Index ranks 1,195 universities in 81 countries across 26 subject indices, computed entirely from the open scholarly record on a fixed, published methodology. No surveys, no submissions: every figure is reproducible at source, and the full methodology is public before, during and after the 15 September launch.

Case three · the intelligence itself

Judge the analysis before you speak to us

The published result for every one of the 1,195 universities in the index is public. Read it the way a research office would: check the sourcing, the caveats, the method.

How we count

Every headline figure on this site is defined, sourced and graded on our figures page. Data-scale figures come from public funder records; audience figures are platform-recorded; we do not publish projections as outcomes. Where we have not yet earned a number, we say so.
