Professor of Sustainable Energy Materials at Imperial College London, Magda Titirici designs carbon materials for batteries beyond lithium. Her multi-institution investigation of hard carbon anodes compared sodium, lithium and potassium ion storage, explaining why sodium performs best and informing sustainable sodium-ion battery design for grid scale and low cost energy storage.
Franco Sassi
Sassi, formerly head of the OECD public health programme, studies the economics of chronic disease prevention and fiscal policies for health at Imperial College Business School. In this eleven-country European collaboration he helped benchmark government food-environment policies using the Food-EPI index, identifying priority actions for healthier food systems across diverse economies.
Ara Darzi
Professor the Lord Darzi co-directs Imperial's Institute of Global Health Innovation and researches surgical innovation and digital health. He is a senior author of the STARD-AI protocol in BMJ Open, an international collaborative effort to develop a reporting guideline for diagnostic test accuracy studies centred on artificial intelligence.
