Saewyc directs UBC's School of Nursing and founded the Stigma and Resilience Among Vulnerable Youth Centre, working with collaborators in several countries. Her population studies of marginalised adolescents, including LGBTQ2S and Indigenous youth, inform school health policy and public health programming across Canada and internationally, supported by CIHR and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Milligan leads the Vancouver School of Economics and studies taxation, child benefits and retirement income. His empirical work on Canadian tax progressivity and family policy is widely used in federal and provincial policy debates, and he collaborates closely with Statistics Canada and national policy institutes on evidence for fiscal reform.
Kitts has spent four decades advancing food chemistry, toxicology and nutrition at UBC, and now leads the Faculty of Land and Food Systems with a Farm to Fork strategy linking growers, processors and consumer health. Named a 2026 Fellow of the Canadian Nutrition Society, his lab partners with BCIT on natural health product research.
