Woodgate, a veterinarian and parasitologist, leads the veterinary school at the Roseworthy campus, home to one of Australia's top ranked veterinary programmes. His research on diagnosing and managing drug resistant livestock parasites supports sheep and cattle producers, and he co-authored international guidance on gastrointestinal nematode diagnostics for ruminants.
