The researchers behind the standing

Independently verified: current affiliation, public profile and published contact confirmed from the open record.

Christina Grozinger

Christina Grozinger

Publius Vergilius Maro Professor of Entomology; Director, Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences

Grozinger studies the social behaviour and health of bees, linking genomics, landscape ecology and climate data to explain pollinator declines. Her team's decision-support tools, such as Beescape, help growers, land managers and beekeepers create pollinator-friendly landscapes, and she directs Penn State's interdisciplinary Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.

Clive Randall

Clive Randall

Evan Pugh University Professor of Materials Science and Engineering; Director, Materials Research Institute

Randall invented the cold sintering process, which densifies ceramics at drastically reduced temperatures and opens routes to lower-energy manufacturing of electronics and solid-state batteries. Directing Penn State's Materials Research Institute, he coordinates cross-disciplinary collaborations with industry that translate electroceramics research into energy storage and dielectric applications.

Troy Ott

Troy Ott

Peter and Ann Tombros Dean, College of Agricultural Sciences; Director, Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station

Ott leads Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences and the Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station, overseeing research and extension that reach farms across the Commonwealth. A reproductive biologist, his work on early pregnancy and immune function in livestock underpins strategies to reduce embryo loss and improve fertility in dairy and beef herds.
