Choksi chairs McGill's Department of Mathematics and Statistics and works at the interface of the calculus of variations, partial differential equations and data science. His maximum entropy on the mean framework, developed with collaborators in optimisation and imaging, gives rigorous new tools for solving inverse problems such as image deblurring and statistical estimation.
