Research at Western Sydney University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,104 institutions in 77 countries, and international collaborators appear on 43% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with The University of Sydney in Australia, at 2,532 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 22,534 co-authored works.
