Waseda University's research now spans 73 countries

Research at Waseda University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 974 institutions in 73 countries, and international collaborators appear on 29% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with The University of Tokyo in Japan, at 1,240 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 20,587 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
