Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam stands at #2 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Psychology collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 2,686 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 695 collaborating institutions across 72 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 3.95.

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam holds Platinum standing overall, at #64 in the world.
