UNSW Sydney: #4 in the world for Engineering collaboration

UNSW Sydney stands at #4 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Engineering collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 9,011 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 894 collaborating institutions across 69 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 3.66.

UNSW Sydney holds Platinum standing overall, at #31 in the world.
