Research at University of Victoria is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,065 institutions in 76 countries, and international collaborators appear on 50% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University of British Columbia in Canada, at 1,948 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 18,003 co-authored works.
