Research at University of Tübingen is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,125 institutions in 79 countries, and international collaborators appear on 49% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Heidelberg University in Germany, at 1,897 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 39,003 co-authored works.
