University of Tsukuba's research now spans 77 countries

Research at University of Tsukuba is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,062 institutions in 77 countries, and international collaborators appear on 23% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with The University of Tokyo in Japan, at 2,358 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 29,048 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
