Research at University of Sfax is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 738 institutions in 74 countries, and international collaborators appear on 39% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Tunis El Manar University in Tunisia, at 705 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 16,475 co-authored works.
