University of Oxford stands at #1 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Medicine collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 30,241 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 1,084 collaborating institutions across 79 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 3.56.

University of Oxford holds Platinum standing overall, at #3 in the world.
