Research at University of Oslo is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,135 institutions in 81 countries, and international collaborators appear on 55% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway, at 2,495 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 58,898 co-authored works.
