University of Lisbon's research now spans 79 countries

Research at University of Lisbon is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,129 institutions in 79 countries, and international collaborators appear on 43% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal, at 4,946 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 53,097 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
