University of Leeds stands at #3 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Earth & Planetary Sciences collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 1,851 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 617 collaborating institutions across 63 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 4.18.

University of Leeds holds Platinum standing overall, at #59 in the world.
