University of Houston stands at #120 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Engineering collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 3,120 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 629 collaborating institutions across 55 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 3.98.

University of Houston holds Gold standing overall, at #236 in the world.
