Research at University of Debrecen is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 973 institutions in 79 countries, and international collaborators appear on 31% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Semmelweis University in Hungary, at 682 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 15,385 co-authored works.
