The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 1,060 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 537 collaborating institutions across 68 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 3.7.

University of Cape Town holds Gold standing overall, at #121 in the world.
