University of Cambridge's research now spans 80 countries

Research at University of Cambridge is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,186 institutions in 80 countries, and international collaborators appear on 57% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University College London in United Kingdom, at 6,193 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 110,138 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
