University of Birmingham's research now spans 80 countries

Research at University of Birmingham is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,174 institutions in 80 countries, and international collaborators appear on 49% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University College London in United Kingdom, at 2,598 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 53,823 co-authored works.
