University College Cork's research now spans 75 countries

Research at University College Cork is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,049 institutions in 75 countries, and international collaborators appear on 49% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, at 1,320 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 20,931 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
