Research at Universitat Pompeu Fabra is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,035 institutions in 78 countries, and international collaborators appear on 54% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Universitat de Barcelona in Spain, at 2,060 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 17,728 co-authored works.
