Universitas Sumatera Utara's research now spans 65 countries

Research at Universitas Sumatera Utara is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 497 institutions in 65 countries, and international collaborators appear on 6% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with State University of Medan in Indonesia, at 519 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 22,914 co-authored works.
