Research at Universidad del Valle is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 720 institutions in 69 countries, and international collaborators appear on 30% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, at 457 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 10,058 co-authored works.
