Universidad de Costa Rica's research now spans 72 countries

Research at Universidad de Costa Rica is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 822 institutions in 72 countries, and international collaborators appear on 33% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico, at 260 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 13,373 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
