TU Wien's research now spans 75 countries

Research at TU Wien is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 974 institutions in 75 countries, and international collaborators appear on 35% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University of Vienna in Austria, at 2,443 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 31,903 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.

The Research Collaboration Index, the first global account of how universities actually collaborate, publishes its first full edition on Tuesday 15 September at 09:00 UK.
