The University of Queensland stands at #4 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Social Sciences collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 4,785 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 830 collaborating institutions across 73 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 6.34.

The University of Queensland holds Platinum standing overall, at #11 in the world.
