Research at Texas Tech University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,080 institutions in 77 countries, and international collaborators appear on 23% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with The University of Texas at El Paso in United States, at 764 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 27,872 co-authored works.
