Shantou University's research now spans 67 countries

Research at Shantou University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 822 institutions in 67 countries, and international collaborators appear on 27% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Sun Yat-sen University in China, at 1,001 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 16,249 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
