Shandong University's research now spans 77 countries

Research at Shandong University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,076 institutions in 77 countries, and international collaborators appear on 22% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Shandong First Medical University in China, at 5,453 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 84,833 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
