Oakland University's research now spans 63 countries

Research at Oakland University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 748 institutions in 63 countries, and international collaborators appear on 20% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Wayne State University in United States, at 327 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 7,003 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
