Research at Norwegian University of Science and Technology is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,133 institutions in 80 countries, and international collaborators appear on 50% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University of Oslo in Norway, at 2,495 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 52,677 co-authored works.
