Research at Nagoya City University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 641 institutions in 61 countries, and international collaborators appear on 17% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Nagoya University in Japan, at 973 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 7,090 co-authored works.
