Maastricht University's research now spans 76 countries

Research at Maastricht University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,062 institutions in 76 countries, and international collaborators appear on 55% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Radboud University Nijmegen in Netherlands, at 3,557 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 38,331 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
