Research at King Abdulaziz University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,130 institutions in 79 countries, and international collaborators appear on 50% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Umm al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia, at 2,062 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 41,369 co-authored works.
