Istanbul University's research now spans 77 countries

Research at Istanbul University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 956 institutions in 77 countries, and international collaborators appear on 20% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi in Turkey, at 2,149 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 24,001 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
