Hainan University's research now spans 69 countries

Research at Hainan University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 915 institutions in 69 countries, and international collaborators appear on 20% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, at 687 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 27,796 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
