Georgetown University's research now spans 78 countries

Research at Georgetown University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,035 institutions in 78 countries, and international collaborators appear on 23% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Johns Hopkins University in United States, at 1,276 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 27,488 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
