Cornell University's research now spans 81 countries

Research at Cornell University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,173 institutions in 81 countries, and international collaborators appear on 33% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Weill Cornell Medicine in United States, at 15,527 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 109,128 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
