City University of Hong Kong stands at #1 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Materials Science collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 3,087 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 598 collaborating institutions across 60 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 2.73.

City University of Hong Kong holds Gold standing overall, at #107 in the world.
