Research at China University of Mining and Technology is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 812 institutions in 60 countries, and international collaborators appear on 16% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Tsinghua University in China, at 949 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 40,603 co-authored works.
