Research at Chalmers University of Technology is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,074 institutions in 76 countries, and international collaborators appear on 53% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University of Gothenburg in Sweden, at 2,176 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 21,994 co-authored works.
