Carnegie Mellon University's research now spans 78 countries

Research at Carnegie Mellon University is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 1,057 institutions in 78 countries, and international collaborators appear on 31% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with University of Pittsburgh in United States, at 1,662 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 34,897 co-authored works.

Connectivity of this kind is increasingly the currency of modern science, and it is measurable: the open scholarly record makes every one of these relationships public and checkable.
