Research at Boston College is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 846 institutions in 72 countries, and international collaborators appear on 27% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Harvard University in United States, at 596 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 10,272 co-authored works.
