Research at Beijing University of Technology is a global undertaking: the university co-authors with 864 institutions in 62 countries, and international collaborators appear on 17% of its output.

Its largest single research relationship is with Peking University in China, at 3,737 joint works. Across the network, five-year output reaches 34,609 co-authored works.
